Last night, I happened to glance out the bedroom window as I was puttering around before bed. Dark shapes were moving across the snow. I felt uneasy--what is that? That can't be right. Did I say I was looking forward to shoveling snow? I may have overstated that a bit. I shoveled, all right. Several tons of heavy, wet snow that had piled up to a good six inches overnight. In between texting with the Sparrowhawk at intervals, I started doing the laundry today, and cleaned up the leftover dishes in the kitchen. I de-iced the car and took myself out to the grocery store to buy more soap for the dishwasher and the washing machine, kleenex, and milk.
