One of the stray cats in my area has been very pregnant lately and Holly and I have been trying to find a shelter that would take her in. We arranged to pick her up Sunday evening, take her to my parent's house then take her to the no-kill shelter their next open day, Tuesday morning. Today was my first day at the library. I demystified the whole library experience simply by stepping beyond the circulation desk, but added a new angle for my little weird obsession. I interviewed first for a minimum wage page position at the library and then was asked to interview instead for the 8.27$/hr library assistant and got the job, even after calling one of the interviewers a completely different name when I shook her hand in farewell. While things financially have not gotten any better, I do feel better mentally. I have been able to concentrate and I am thinking that concentration would be the first step to seeing this problem to its end. I have turned in numerous applications and three have been hopeful. I bought the last few CDs needed to start my Britpop mix tape(s). I have not made a multi-tape mix tape in a while and the challenge of spreading the music fairly looks like an interesting one. I finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last week. The end leads very well to the next book, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, which I know I can find at Raven's books as well. After a great conversation with Holly, I have concluded that I will move back to Twentynine Palms after my lease is up in one year. I initially moved to Palm Desert to attend the satellite campus for Cal State San Bernardino. Since I have dropped out and I have never liked the area, it makes no sense for me to live there at all.
