Well, wonderful that wanderings went well and as one wished, as one wondered if woeful wistfulness would wear you.

Thought I'd join in on the alliteration.

Anyway, I'm ecstatic to hear it. Much better to hear that than than the usual reports of sitting around, smoking, and doing extra work. I'm also glad to know that you're taking a trip, despite the implications that the French mafia (which makes me chuckle) is after you.

And yes, I'm afraid it is, and then some. I hear that a building in Diagon Alley was attacked by an unruly mob, and that people were killed in the crossfire. It gets worse and worse each day, and the population here at the school dwindles.

That was rather taking the alliteration overboard.

I also quite like sitting around, smoking and doing extra work, you know. Which I'm still doing. I'm also reading Dostoyevsky, so it evens out. The French mafia are terrifying. They'll come after you and snap your legs like baguettes.

Yikes. What about the disappearance of a Ministry official? Apparently, that was bloodier than bloody too. I think our press have an odd kind of blood lust, though.

Don't tell me you didn't enjoy it.

Yes, but it's boring. I'd much rather hear that you're going out and actually doing something on a day off than just looking at the wall of your flat. At least it's more interesting to hear that way. And I seriously doubt the French mafia are that vicious.

Does your press report on the attacks on all our young people too? I find that far worse than any disappearance of an official, though I suppose those children do lack a famous name.

...fair point.

Even so, looking at the wall of your flat can be quite relaxing. I'm glad I made a good story for once. Oh, they are. They'll beat you to a pulp with onions, then throw you in the Seine. Then possibly film it and sell it as an arty film.

...perhaps a few a while back, but I don't think so. I wasn't reading the paper for a few weeks this month, though.
