ohhhhhhhh mother thinks i am developing mumps. MUMPS. i'm 21! the right side of my face is swelling up and being more and more painful by the minute. bastard. it better not actually be mumps, i so don't want to look like a hamster. and i can't afford the time off work. booo.

Sven, mate, the 4-5-1 formation really doesn't appear to be working. I mean, barely beating the Welsh was one thing, but losing to the Northern Ireland team for the first time in 78 years? That's just embarassing. Really, sort it out, please. It would be nice to win qualify for the World Cup.

Delighted by the fact that Mum has bought DISCOS! Less delighted, and slightly concerned, by the fact the beef flavour ones are called "boogie down beef". Hmmm.

Anyway, the new cat is mental. The first thing she did was attack Wolfy, and since then all she has done is climb up the chairs and curtains.

Despite a ludicrously late finish at work last night (a handy combination of restaurant overbookings and understaffing), I was up at the crack of dawn today to be in Ashford by 10:30 to sign up with a recruitment agency. It might be a few weeks until I get anything but I think I'm going to quit the bastard job anyway. Can't do it any more, really ( Read more... )

Tonight I'm working down the Howey, in the restaurant. Unfortunately, they have a Thai restaurant, so chances are, I won't have the faintest idea how to pronounce anything I'm serving. "Erm...noodles, anyone?"

Does anyone know anything about employment law and tips and suchlike? The bosses at work claim that money that "goes missing" from the till will be taken from our tips (which are pooled in a tip jar and, in theory, handed out once a month).
