I'm sorry about your masters program! But at least Paris is a good second choice! Perhaps you will find more freedom outside of a masters program anyway. Will you be working in Paris since you are staying more permanently now?

Keep trying - I probably got rejected from 4 or 5 graduate programs before I got into one. Bumming around Paris isn't a bad way to go either though. ;)
