[Well, well. That's almost impressive. The fish, however...ugh.]

Archie. That's repulsive.

[Never mind the smirk that's offsetting that statement just a bit. Really, come now.]

[[You don't mind if he takes another huge bite in response to that, do you Maxie? Of course you don't.]]

Hello, Maxie. Yes, I am doing fine. Nice to know you still have your manners.

[[You're not the only one who can smirk, there.]]

[He laughs a bit at that, the sound dark; he'll just be shifting position a bit, leaning hipshot to one side and folding his arms across his chest, the gesture casual.]

And yours are as intact as ever, I see.

Naturally.

[[Because even though I look like something that just crawled out of the depths, that doesn't mean I have to act like an animal.

Or a member of Team Mamga. They're pretty inter-changable, after all~]]

Care for a fish?

I'll pass for now.

[However, that doesn't mean he's completely disinterested in what you've been doing; he'll just be wandering over and examining this idiot over here, crouching down next to him in the surf.

He touches the guy's face a bit, tipping his head up to get a better look at whatever the hell you did to his fucking neck; ugh, really, no class at all.]

Well, I see you found yours. Quite the incompetent idiot, isn't he...

I had a feeling you would.

[[Which just means more for him, after all. He'll be ripping some skin off while you ponder his double down there.]]

He was boring, really. Had his guard completely down. I'm contemplating killing him but I want to see if he'll learn.

Reply

oceansbane March 15 2011, 03:29:59 UTC
Think of it this way. If you don't kill him now and he doesn't learn, for whatever stupid reason...it'll be more satisfying, really. He'll know what you're capable of as a warning; imagine how it'll be making him anticipate the kill.

[Standing up again, then; he'd prefer not to look at the ligature marks any longer than he really has to, though he does give the sorry bastard a jab in the ribs with his shoe once he's up. Not a kick, exactly, just a bit of a nudge that was perhaps a bit harder than really necessary.]

Not to mention that it's no fun if they're out cold like that. Tell me, are you planning on knocking me out, too, in that deluded mental picture of yours? Or are you going to do me the courtesy of leaving me conscious?

It is tempting. I'll probably just leave him here; if he gets washed out to sea it's his problem.

[[The tide is coming in, after all.

As for that second comment, Archie idly tosses the remains of his fish (so basically, just the tail) over his shoulder, before calmly meeting Maxie's gaze, smiling softly.]]

Having you unconscious would spoil it for me, Maxie. You know that.

I don't pretend to know what goes on in your head, Archie.

[Despite the fact that his tone implies that he knows. He knows very well.]

mediatempest March 15 2011, 08:36:37 UTC
Wouldn't want that, would I?

[[Have a smirk for your efforts.

Also fish. This is a good fish.]]

Have you been getting along with your...'double', then?

oceansbane March 15 2011, 08:44:41 UTC
[Oh, fuck your fish, Archie.]

Amazingly. Apparently he's been getting my organization involved in this island's conflicts, which I need like a goddamn hole in the head. I let him know that I wasn't too pleased with him for it by relieving him of his insignia. Not to mention consciousness, for a time.

[He tips his head toward the idiot in the sand over there, the gesture abrupt but clear.]

This one was there, actually. After the fact.

[[He ain't into that, Maxie, control yourself.]]

Well, how rude of him. I do hope he took your words to heart.

[[And he might actually look down at said idiot at his feet, before lounging back into the sand, closing his eyes contentedly as the waves slide over his fingers.]]

Let me guess. He tried to help.

[...honestly, some things wouldn't surprise him...]

Of course. You should hear the way they talk.

Do I really want to know? I was just contemplating letting him live.

Reply

oceansbane March 15 2011, 09:07:44 UTC
Oh, trust me, had it been that egregious, I wouldn't have let either of them live. It's still repulsive, though the real winner of the evening was when this one -

[He'll just be kicking him again, unconsciousness be damned; your ribs are going to love you when you wake up.]

...felt the need to tell me that we take our goals too seriously. Like it's some sort of game for them.

mediatempest March 15 2011, 09:13:44 UTC
[[Archie looks almost puzzled at that proclamation, running the sand through his fingers.]]

That explains so much, and yet....so little.

[[That kicking hasn't gone unnoticed, you know; it's rather amusing. Have a smirk.]]

You're free to have a go at him, you know.
