[ residents of the island might have noticed that Dawn has been curiously absent from things for a while. the island, in its infinite wisdom, had sent her home to catch up on things, and having done that, it saw fit to bring her back. two years, spent traveling and training and taking challengers

Visited Unova, did you? [He nods to Braviary. She had a Staraptor last time he saw her...]

I was there up until a few minutes ago. Its a pretty amazing place.

[Chermaine is starting...well, not starting, she's believed for a while now that her fate/destiny/future/whatever-you-want-to-call-it-without-sounding-too-hokey is wrapped up in what happens to Dawn, and so when she didn't suddenly vanish or implode or something upon the girl's disappearance she was confident enough in the eventual normalcy of things to just sort of...carry on.

She also wasn't too surprised when either her personal time on the island or just her perception of it staggered - or was compressed, or was made shorter some other way - after all, it wasn't as though she was doing anything in Dawn's absence.

Today feels like a good day.

What's a visit home without delicious food smells to greet you?]

[ once she was done speaking to friends she hasn't seen in what feels like forever, Dawn's first priority is to head right back to where she remembers camp being so she can see Chermaine.

if it's not there, she'll start searching, of course, but that does smell like food... ]

[Well, this one might not be a familiar face from the Island, but certainly so from back home. In all honesty, the other girl looked somewhat different, a little older, perhaps, but Cynthia could still recognize her from a mile away.

Those eyes had not changed, after all.]

Dawn? [And as though echoing his trainer's question, Togekiss adds a "Toge?" of his own, tilting to a side.]

[ Cynthia is familiar enough to always be recognized on sight, and Dawn doesn't even hesitate to wave. ]
