I had a phone call from the hospital admitting nurse yesterday, telling me that there was a slight abnormality with my EKG, and that they may not be able to do the surgery Tuesday. They require an EKG that was taken within 30 days of surgery, and mine was done back in November. So, I have an appointment Monday morning at 9:45 to have another EKG, ( Read more... )

A middle aged woman has a heart attack and is taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she has a near death experience. During that experience she sees God and ask if this is it.

God says no and explains that she has another 30 years to live. Upon her recovery she decides to just stay in the hospital and have a face lift, liposuction, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, etc.

She even has someone come in and change her hair color. She figures since she's got another 30 years she might as well make the most of it. She walks out of the hospital after the last operation and is killed by an ambulance speeding up to the hospital.

She arrives in front of God and complains: "I thought you said I had another 30 years."

God replies, "I didn't recognize you."

I wouldnt stress!

I was laughing with a friend the other night about getting sick before surgery. I think its everyone's fear, and they try so hard to stay healthy before hand, and the slightest little ache or scratch in your throat within a week or so of surgery, has you panicing thinking you're coming down with some sort of cold or flu. I think its all in your head. I went through it, she went through, you're probably going through it.

As far as the EKG goes.. unless its REALLY bad, I dont think they will cancel. And if it is bad enough to cancel, be thankful that whatever it is was caught! You're right.. you've come THIS far, if you HAVE to, you know you have it in you to hang on just abit more.
