Two things:

1. That vehicle needed a roll cage for that type of duty.

2. Why weren't the occupants wearing proper safety belts?

We had a huge discussion about the seat belts. One part of our charter is that safety belts will be used. Considering the roll over, the truck held up remarkably well, the passenger compartment was remarkably intact.

One other issue we clarified, is that all equipment in the vehicles need to be secured completely, the tool box was held down with bungee cords, but that wasnt enough.

Well, it may be in the charter that you have to use safety belts, but the photo during the crash shows a body position that says, "Doh! I should've warn my safety belt."

The passenger compartment was okay, but not great. Really if you're going to run up mountains like that on roads like that, you've got to prepare for rolling down them now and then.

Bungee cords are going to secure a tool box? You're joking, right.
