watching american beauty on tv because i'm not watching marie antoinette at the theater.
everytime i see the scene in american beauty where annette benning is all "lester, you're going to spill beer on the sofa," i just want to die. as soon as you follow her gaze to the beer bottle, you just cringe. it's one of those scene where you want to shout at the screen (shut up! let it go!) to prevent the inevitable. -
project runway owns me.
tim gunn owns a little bit of my heart for referencing the bobbsey twins in this week's podcast. i'm pretty sure myself and this 53 year old gay man are the only people in america who have thought about them in the past month. he wins more points because he uses the reference to pretty accurately describe michael kors and his mom. -
workers of the world, unite!
a suggestion to us walmart workers:
with china's walmart employees now being allowed to unionize (albeit to a union that is part of the chinese goverment and that critics say does not actually fight for workers' rights, i don't begin to understand chinese communism, don't ask me.) it seems that now might be a good time to overthrow the anti-union ( Read more... ) -

the dating service true.com seems to have launched a big campaign aimed specifically toward gay men on myspace in the past day or so. this is all well and good, but it seems odd to me that the clearly m4m-centric pictures (mostly shirtless men frolicking on a beach or playing with a hose* without any women around) have hetero options selected on ( Read more... ) -
