that helps TREMENDOUSLY! thank you. i'd like to keep my DW journal active, and i think this will motivate me to do so. is this how you configured it? http://rho.dreamwidth.org/2516.html
I use the Sage extension for Firefox, it's pretty basic but I like it that way.
Also, what do you mean your employers transferred your work email over to google?
When we used Google Apps for Your Domain at my old work, I could actually be logged into both my regular gmail (@gmail.com) and our custom-gmail (@companyname.com) at the same time because the URL was different.
i mean we went from our own in-house servers to contracting out to google. i can't have both my work e-mail and my own personal "g-mail" account open at the same time, so i can't use it. ours isn't a google app; it's essentially the same as g-mail.
i'd rather use a feed reader i can use from my smartphone, but i'll look into firefox. thanks for that!
what! google reader is the best! i cannot think of a better thing to use to share things with my friends and comment on things they share. also it is incredibly easy to use and organize. what's wrong with it?
i don't really share stuff online with people outside of LJ. i really just want to be able to read all my favorite blogs in one place. unfortunately, i don't have access to the internet outside of work, so i'd have to figure out a way to sync up google reader with my work e-mail. it's really frustrating. when work migrated over to google's servers, i lost roughly 15% of my saved e-mails and the ability to use my old g-chat account.
i can't seem to stay logged into both accounts at the same time unless i have one open in firefox and another in IE. it didn't really matter as i hate chatting.
