I remember seeing Robin and Marian somewhere back in the 1980's. I would love to have a copy of that movie but like so many movies of the 70's and 80's, you can't find copies of them in any library over here--though I have no idea why. I've just made myself a list of 1960's era Walt Disney movies that I want to watch. Please wish me luck finding them. :^)
There are couple of versions of the movie on YouTube. The better of the two (in terms of visual quality) has a few chunks missing- including the last few minutes and stretches of the soundtrack.....
I absolutely hate it when they show movies cut up like that. That cut-up version is probably the one they use on cable TV. The chunks missing are where they splice their unwanted TV commercials in as well as the missing last few minutes of the movie. That was ultimately what made us stop watching cable TV: We realized we were actually paying to watch all the stupid advertising we didn't want to watch. Out of every hour of cable TV, over 20+ MINUTES of TV commercials were being played with larger and larger chunks of the older TV shows and movies being carved out to make room for all that advertising. :^(
I haven't thought about what movies I'd watch again and again, although there are some which I can and do. As for movies I'd list as great...I don't know. Hadn't thought about it, actually.
As I recently explained to someone else, I have a short list of movies which made such an impression (negative) and/or disturbed me so deeply I've never wanted or needed to see them again and a couple of those I would make a point of avoiding.

Commercial TV in the UK used to chop up movies too but they'd never do anything as crass as cut off the ending.
