[ All she remembers is Japan, a sharp pain, then falling. Falling, but not sure into what. She's moving, but it feels like she's suspended in the air. What's happening? Why doesn't she ever have control over anything? Even life is difficult to grasp.
Until now. ]
Aaaaaaaaaaaah!
[ Taiwan's eyes go wide open as she pulls on her sheets to sit herself up. That death was dreamlike... No, nightmarish is more appropriate in a place like this. Her breathing is erratic, and so is her heartbeat. She paces around. What's the date? ] The fourth? [ Oh no. ] Then that means a lot of people died and I didn't get to save anyone and then - oh, but I'm alive, so that means, everything, should be back to... normal... [ She places a hand on her chest as she takes in a couple of deep breaths. Then, she goes downstairs. If there's anything she needs right now, it's a drink. Food. Being dead for a week does things to you. Heavy steps can be heard as she hurries to the kitchen
( ... )
[ Distracted from his thoughts- he stares at her for a moment at first from behind as she opens the refrigirator, but doesn't look her in the face. He can't face her- how can he face her, how can he possibly face her? After all that happened. He broke his promise, he let her die again- he let her die again, he let her die again he let her die again and this time he doesn't even have a reason because he was right there and he failed again and after they fought so unpleasantly and he didn't even apologize-
His thoughts come in one, long and unpleasant stream, one after another. But his expression betrays nothing. ]
...Good morning. [ And so he looks down and averts his eyes. ]
[ She puts the carton on the counter and searches the cupboards, back still turned towards Japan. Milk fills the glass she finds, an uneasy atmosphere fills the room and everything is quiet for a while. Then, the silence stops. ]
[ It feels a little weird to finally be out of that church again and instead back in her 'home away from home'.. And while the events of the last week were definitely scary, even if she didn't quite get to hear about most of it, the people she stayed with were so kind and nice that she really can't do anything but feel really grateful for everything.
And she has - of course - worried a lot about Japan and Taiwan too since they were still out there.. So even though Nadeko has no clue how they faired in the event, she manages to find Japan in the kitchen. Even though she definitely notices the weariness, she still smiles (a bit shyly as usual). ]
[ Seeing Nadeko again makes him feel better, at the very least- there is something in her presence, and he doesn't know what, but that's how it affects him. He doesn't smile, but there's relief in his expression- until he realizes that maybe something happened to her too while he was dead and he wouldn't even notice, would he? ]
...It's good to see Sengoku-san again, as well... has she been alright? [ he can't ask her if she died, of course; and you have to know him and his speech patters very well to be able to read between he lines and understand that this is what he really means, but... ]
H-hmm, I've been just fine! [ It's hard to tell whether or not she exactly got the finer nuances out of Japan's question, but either way it's the truth. She hasn't died nor has anything remotely bad happened. ]
Everyone really took good care of me, so.. I'm very grateful to them.. A-ah, of course I'm grateful to Taiwan-san and Japan-san too for arranging something like this for me. Who knows, things might have ended up a little bit bad otherwise..
[ She looks genuinely cheerful- enough so that he believes that, even if she doesn't understand what he meant to ask, that nothing bad happened. The relieved expression resurfaces. ]
So at the very least- we were able to save Sengoku-san... [ he lets out a small, relieved sigh ] I'm glad. That you're alright, as well. [ If he had been anyone other than Japan he would probably walk up to her and give her a hug right now. ]
There is nothing wrong with Hoshino-san's performance at work-- ah, tea, is it... I think I wouldn't mind that at all. And I can make some time for it...

[Oh wow, where do you have to go to school to get that gig.]

...Yes, sort of. There are very specific individuals out there, such as myself, who are the countries and their personifications.

"I'm fine Mr. Japan. I've been tending to the store during the chaos. Are you all right?"
