But you can make your own lotion pretty reliably with a food processor. Rosemary Gladstar has a great recipe in her book Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health. She also has a recipe for dry cleansing grains and a few other hair and skin recipes.

I've used a buf-puf from 3M for decades to exfoliate so I don't have to use products containing toxins that absorb into the skin or fuss with making products. Inexpensive from drugstore.com and last a long time. Pair it with Dr. Bronner's and a bit of coconut oil for moisturizing. Eat lots of veggies, use healthy oils and avoid additives. Does wonders for the skin.

You forgot the other 'cosmetic' from Dr. Bronner's label: plenty of sleep!
