Philip has been beside himself with misery over his mouth. Those 2 years are finally actually grinding through his gums all the way, and it's just about killing him. This is good, as it's the final set. This is bad, as it's only the bottom so far, and historically, the top teeth hit him harder.

I know people swear by those teething tablets but they've never done anything for us and both boys coughed on them and it wigged me out anyway.

Their first molars are doing that whole in and out bullshit and it's making us all miserable. Why do teeth have to be so awful?

Poor kid. :( And poor you! I'm battling insomnia, and then when I finally do get to sleep, the beasts kick me the rest of the night, so I'm sympathizing. I'm breaking out the ginseng today.

just another suggestion to throw on the pile: dried fruit. Put it in the fridge so it's rock hard and cold then he can chew on it slowly. He might go for it? Dunno if the texture will freak him out or not.

When Khayman was little, he once asked me why grown-ups stay up late (this is the kid who was putting himself to bed at age 2) and I made some joke about having a secret party. His dad chimed in with some mention of "secret cake and soda"

Poor boy burst into tears and cried about getting of the "secret cake" and we (feeling like absolute heels) had to open the cabinet doors to reassure him we were just joking.

Up
