The thing about not being in school anymore... I think about the future more than I used to. Maybe it's the lack of homework. I guess my mind isn't occupied enough. We started touring last week. While the early mornings suck (6 AM call time at the theatre), we're done with work by about 4 PM. Which is nice. The kids really enjoy the show, which makes us enjoy it. I don't forsee myself getting sick of doing this show while I'm here. It goes by very quickly. So I've been in Iowa for about four days now, and I have to say... it is absolutely beautiful. You don't get scenery like this on the coast. But I still couldn't live here... you drive on the highway and there's 50 miles of farm in between each town. And the towns aren't necessarily large. So I returned to Mansfield, OH yesterday with Mikey, Eli, and Jenny. We went to the Mansfield Reformatory, which is the prison where they filmed "Shawshank Redemption" and "Air Force One", among other films. Last night I became the first ever female champion of the annual Tecumseh "Rock, Scissors, Paper Tournament". We all pick a character and dress up and perform in the tournament as those characters.
