It is time for the Kat O'Clock News, featuring an interview from the lovely violabelle.

1. What's your favorite part of the brain? My favorite part of the nervous system is actually the dorsal horn of the spinal cord; it's ridiculously complex, plays a huge role in how we experience the environment around us, and nobody really knows how it works. But, you ( Read more... )

Interesting fact about the LGN in the thalamus: for every fiber sent from the LGN to V1, V1 sends 10 or so back to the LGN. That means that for every axon sending information to the brain about the visual world, the brain is sending 10 back to the thalamus to modify visual signals.

1) What are you most excited about in the next year or so?

2) Why did you initially get interested in me?

3) If you were stuck in the middle of the woods with absolutely no way to get ahold of anyone, would you rather have a) a handheld GPS unit or b) a radio or other way to listen in on what the nearest people were up to? (I had a creepy dream that has had me pondering this question all day.)

4) Who would you like to see as front-runners in the primaries for the presidential election, and why?

5) Is it better to have two spoonfuls of the best ice cream in the whole world, or an entire bowl of merely good ice cream?

Apparently, I can only think of really fucked-up things to ask people. pontiuspilates February 2 2007, 04:17:47 UTC
1) Do you have Wicca Class this weekend, or do you wanna hang out with us as we eat ourselves into a Stupor Bowl?

2) Leaving aside larger issues like the murdering of the ecosystem, or the horrific deaths of untold millions of people, do you ever get kind of excited to contemplate the possibility of civilization's collapse?

3) What is your favorite vice?

4) If you had to be turned into a non-sentient, inanimate object, but you could pick what it was, what would it be?

5) How would you like people to see you, and how does this differ from the way that you think people see you?
