Last night Jeff brought home a pear ginger from Mission Pie and it looked awesome. He even snuck some cream to whip for it. Joe and Kris are back in town and they came by on Monday to visit their cats. I was SHOCKED by the Cheat's reaction. He recognized Kris right off and immediately slunk away to hide under furniture. The Kaiser Permanente web site is pretty cool. I can use it to email my doctor, set up basic appointment and now even view my lab results. I had a lab done yesterday to test my kidneys and how they're faring given all the toxic stuff I've been putting into them. I took Jeff to David's Bridal last night and tried on the two contenders and a third I hadn't seen before. Jeff said the other one looked too lougey, like wedding sweat pants. The cracked me up and while I couldn't quite understand what he meant, I got that it wasn't nice enough in his mind. In the end I went with this dress.

Last night Saman and I went to David's Bridal and after 2 hours of trying on about 7 dresses I ended up purchasing one. They had a sale going which was supposed to end last night (I see it has been extended through the end of the month according to their web site). The $399 dress was $50 off, with tax it came to $378. It seems my father won't be retiring till the end of 2009. That is a serious bummer as my dad is going to be 67 this June and he's already pretty tuckered out. However, this does give them time to figure out where they want to settle down, how much Medicare will cover for my mother, and how to handle their various payouts. I'm cat-sitting again for the Ardents. They are returning from New Zealand and while they are traveling and looking for an apartment, I get to have cats. These cats make me very happy.
