When I finished my readmission contract, I was finally switched to Good standing for Fall semester. I must say I got a little giddy when I realized I could take more than four classes, so I started piling on extra classes on top of the four I'm already taking. U.S. History since 1877? This past weekend, I had the unfortunate task of taking Bird to be put to sleep (she had cancer and her condition deteriorated rapidly in the past few days). It was by far the most difficult thing I've ever had to do, emotionally. When I get an idea for a song, or a writing (like this journal entry), there is always the point where I can either let the idea go back into the ether from which it came, or I can attempt to record it. For these sorts of writings, it is relatively easy, as long as I have a computer and time I can hash it out. Songs are a trickier beast ( Read more... )

Bill came over this evening for eats and music making, mainly my adding some drums and bass to one of his compositions. This past week was finals week in conjunction with moving from the Ethel Street house to a duplex on Mecaslin St. The move was about as easy as such things can be... new place being only 0.1 mile from the old, two weeks of overlap between the old lease ending and the new one beginning.
