Weekend Update
This weekend has been nice, but very "practical", so far. I guess that's a good thing.
Yesterday, after getting home from work, James and I "harvested" our herb garden and pepper plant. We'd discovered weeks ago that the peppers were just too hot to eat -- no matter what. So, James gave away about seven or eight of those babies to his classmates ( Read more... ) -
YAAAAAAAY!
I received an email, this morning, from the committee chairperson at IPUMC. I GOT THE JOB!!! Wahoo!
So, I'll meet with them, soon, and they'll tell me all the specifics about the position (actual pay, vacation, expectations, etc.) and I'll officially accept at that time.

Sometimes there are emotions that are hard to express properly. It's as if some emotions are too bulky are too small to fit inside the normal "file folders" hanging in my head. So, here's this one still on my desk because I can't figure out how to handle it, yet.

A word about CHURCH
Faith, for me, has always been something of an amoeba -- constantly changing shape and moving about. In fact, if ever I've found myself feeling that my faith was something stationary or something concrete, I'm usually quick to discover that I've momentarily misplaced my faith or I've inadvertently replaced it with something ELSE.

Random funny
So, occasionally, my coworkers like to order from this Thai restaurant that's just down the street from us. For one thing, it's a little weird to order out because we, well, are located INSIDE a restaurant already.
Interesting thing about this Thai restaurant is that it's called Pinto -- which at once caused me to think it was a Mexican ( Read more... ) -

I don't think it would be false to say that nearly everyone seems to be in some kind of a funk right now. I'd have to admit that I am, too.

I really do enjoy my walk to work each morning (in spite of the fact that it inevitably means I will wind up at work). There are several different routes I can take, but my favorite goes through a golf course (over the river and through the woods, as it were) and I often run into all sorts of creatures going about their daily business of survival ( Read more... )
