Everyone wish me luck, tonight. I've been looking for a church piano gig (steady, that is) since moving up here. Tonight, I have an audition (one of TWO that I've had in the past year). They are few and far between and I really need this one to count... and I'm friggin' Nerrrrrvous!!! -

Last weekend, James and I travelled up north to Milwaukee to see a Brewers vs. Reds baseball game. He bought the tickets, so -- even though I don't really L-O-V-E baseball -- I went along. So, Louisiana was nice...
James and I went to Louisiana to visit with my family for a few days July 21-25. It had been over a year since I'd been home and I was getting conflicting reports about what to expect when visiting my old stomping grounds. I knew that a few things would change regardless, but Hurricane Katrina had made the possibility for change a lot greater.

In just a few hours, I'll be back in Louisiana. I'm kinda excited... kinda nervous. It'll be the first time that James will be meeting my family.
