for the good of the county

Mom is out now - at least temporarily. This past weekend, Dan and I went to see her. We originally planned the trip to take care of the animals. I'm so glad we decided to go anyway - that visit changed my perspective on a lot of things. The biggest one is that I like Glenn now. He seems to be good for her. She has gained weight. Mom called this morning. I was only able to talk to her for 60 seconds. I didn't get to tell her I loved her before our call got disconnected. She was supposed to call back once I made my payment information, but she hasn't called back yet. Maybe there is a line ( Read more... )

Well, I went. And now I'm back.

This has been a very long weekend. It's funny how the people you are the closest to can hurt you the most (not Dan). And over something that never should have happened in the first place.
