its the trap that many of us kids must live with. The good grades..the college acceptance letters ... whatever. try to see the light because you are a smart kid and no matter where you end up for your 1st year ... you will survive. After the initial shock of not being able to GET OUT leaves... you can think more rationally.
if all else fails... we can hold a carwash at the local walmart and clean vehicles for the "send poor, smart catholic kids to colleg" fund.
if there is one thing i have learned...thelastcocoMarch 16 2005, 01:53:05 UTC
Ben, Ben, Ben. First things first. You won't be living at home so your parents won't be watching over everything you do. If there is one thing I have seen from my two older brothers going to LSU right before me it is that they retained little if any of the parental restraints my parents previously had on them. Next, LSU is not the dump most people make it out to be. Lastly, you'll be living in dorms with people you like and who are in the same predicament you are and who busted their butts as well, so misery loves company. You'll prolly be rooming with Hanegan, I'll be down the hall and so will a lot of other cool people. This isnt the end of the world, and you will survive. Lastly, as you yourself pointed out, grad school is still out there, so cheer up and enjoy the scenery...

don't give up hope. there are always transfer apps and scholarships later if you really shine at LSU.
