Tonight I got a call from my roomate explaining that one of our fellow students that is staying the weekend in our apartment got attached to a cute kitten on the way home, and she wanted permission to keep it. In the end, while the kitten was cute... we weren't ready for a cat (no litter box, etc), plus there is no way we could get it to a vet ( Read more... )

i'm very suprised that you didn't keep the kitten simply so that it could play with your ball of yarn while you're knitting. :)

Didn't want to risk bringing my needles on the plane and had a hard time packing... so I didn't bring my knitting supplies. Though a kitten to play with the yarn would have been extremely cute, and the kitten they found yesterday was exactly the type of kitten one would imagine playing with said yarn.

I go through airport security with knitting needles all the time, and my needles are metal so they check the tips to make sure I'm not going to gouge out anyone's eyes... but they say they have no problem with bamboo or plastic needles. just incase you were curious. I suppose your weather isn't exactly knitting weather now...
