RIP Mary Tamm

Was saddened to read this evening of the untimely death of Mary Tamm, aka Romana Mk 1.

Seems that a lot of Who actors are leaving us recently.

It makes things like your charity race really important. Astronaut Sally Ride also died from cancer recently. We need to beat this bastard - or at least improve the survival rates.

Very sad and shocking, although her recent absence off the fan scene over the last year or so now makes sense. A couple of years ago she was promoting the first part of her autobiography and then nothing but clearly she then became ill :( Her husband, Marcus, was also really nice and friendly and he used to come along to conventions and be very long-suffering
