Bad service

Was just in Garden City Betts to try boots on, ready to spend about $200 and the stupid girl serving me first fobbs me off to someone else who took forever getting my shoes so she had to check on them. Then stupid girl the second gets me one pair in size 8 and one in size 10 when I asked for both in size 9. Stupid girl the first comes to check on

They don't seem to have leather ones now anyway. I went into the city store the other day, and all the ones I checked were synthetic. Quite annoying.

the pair I really liked were leather (the size 10), but they probably wouldn't have zipped up in the size 9 as I have large calves

I'm not really too fussed about leather/synthetic.. the only noticable difference is that leather stretches

yeah, it's very annoying spending such a large sum of money on something that isn't what you really wanted.

I tend to go for boots that have the slouchy look anyway, because to get boots that fit my calves the boots tend to wrinkle around my ankles, so if you buy them all slouchy anyway, you can't tell!

I would have walked out, after I got the shoes in the wrong size.

I didn't realize until I'd taken them off and asked for a smaller size because they were too big and noticed that they were size 10

I would have just quietly walked out at that moment. And if anyone had actually said something (not that they were paying attention), I would have just mentioned that I'd asked for a different size, and had waited too long for actual service.

when I asked why she'd given me the wrong size and she explained that they were the closest size I just put my shoes on and left, so she either got the message or thought I was rude. hopefully the former

complaining about them on lj is about all I can be bothered with.. will be going to betts in town (will be in the city anyway) tomorrow to see if I can get the ones I liked in the right size and buying them there
