I went to New York. Not sure if it would be good on your own. Maybe not. If I was going on my own I would choose a country I've always wanted to visit. Obviously your choice would be different :)x

Yes I loved it! Stayed in New Jersey but right near the river across from Manhatten so we went in nearly every day (sister lives there).

Hope you have fun planning your trip. Going on your own somewhere will be a different kind of experience. I kind of want to do it. An adventure!

I'd recommend Mexico. And you've got that personal guide thing.
The guide wasn't money poorly spent, you can throw it in a bonfire on the beach.
