In April just 9 weeks after returning from our South East Asia adventure we headed East again to spend 2 weeks in Bali! Kind of ridiculous but hey ho off we go! It was time for me to attend my first international Golden Keys congress.

Final days in Thailand
We arrived in Bangkok the afternoon of the 7th. A city I quite liked 15 years ago but now feel less favourable towards. A city that is far too hot, poor air quality and so much fecking concrete.

3 Weeks in Vietnam
Back in 2008 Dublin Boy and I crossed by land from Laos into Vietnam arriving in Hue. We spent about 10 days making our way down to Saigon before flying to KL. Flash forward to January of this year and hubby and I were flying from Taipei into Hanoi and had 3 weeks to make our way down to Saigon. A return to Asia
Just over a month ago we returned from our magical 5 week South East Asia adventure. A region I last visited 15 years before. That was a monumental trip for many reasons and I was truly looking forward to going back to see new places and rediscover some favourites from before. And skipping 5 weeks winter was pretty rad too!

2023 in Review
01. What did you do in 2023 that you'd never done before?
Got my Golden Keys!!! Trained for and ran a 10K.
02. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Mostly no unfortunately! I did write last year that I would like to maybe run a 10K and I did :) But this year I really do need to focus on my teeth.

In all my years living in Stockholm up till yesterday was the most consistent snow we have had on the ground. It only just melted yesterday completely weeks after it first snowed. It was so lovely and I hope it comes back in time for a White Christmas but I won't hold my breath!

Autumn So Far
After a wet and cool summer we had a beautiful bright and sunny September. Most of October was pretty great too. And well as for the foliage it was spectacular as usual. My First 10K
In 2018 I pushed myself to sign up for a 5K that my work was sponsoring for. I started the Couch to 5K program to prep for it but life got in the way and I made excuses. By the time the race came around I was not as prepared as I should have been. That day I ran walked the race and was pleased to just finish it within less than an hour.

Summer
After a blazing hot start to the summer July and August were rather wet and cool. We had some lovely days though when we needed them and for that I am grateful. I am a bit tired though after working the whole busy summer season with only a few days off. The Emerald Isle
On May 16th we woke up very early in the morning to make our way to the airport for our two week holiday in Ireland. We had last been over in January 2022 for my MIL's mother-in-laws funeral so we were looking forward to going back to create new memories. We had a beautiful approach into Ireland when we landed.
