It may have been Minnesota, I just changed my plates from 652-STD, and I happen to pass through Argonne every day.

Creepy.

Creepy indeed...well, kinda.
It may have been Minnesota...but I'm fairly certain there was a silhouette of a saguaro cactus on the plate...and Minnesota's not known for those...

Of course, I AM horribly nearsighted...so it may not have been a cactus at all.

Hell, maybe it wasn't even a car, and just a homeless dude with a sign referencing his need for money to cure his STDs?

Well...since I am pretty nearsighted, I'm going to have to wear my glasses every time I drive to work from now on...and keep an eye out for homeless men (Or perhaps women?) asking for financial support for his (her) STD treatments...and see if they're wearing T-shirts with desert scenery.
