Warnings Character deaths. Intense situations. Encounters with cannibals. Forced sex scenario (off page). Two guys named Drew. (Andrew DeRoberts and Drew Steen) Not as much world building as I would have liked
Notes For apocabigbang I completely stole the idea from SM Stirling's Dies the Fire, but all similarities are purely coincidental, except that I did steal the term Eaters. Thank you to nannerz2cool cabayuki and escribej for being kind and patient betas. Any mistakes are my fault, and not theirs. Also thanks to kradio_benches and idolmeta for first encouraging this idea more than two years ago. (see end for the scene that started it all)

~the quotes at the beginning of each part ore from WH Auden's "Funeral Blues"
~I call Brad Bell Brad through the entire piece. I know he usually goes by Cheeks, but I felt Brad was a bit more personal (and tone appropriate)
~Thanks also to all the people who gave me information I ended up not using. It did help, it just didn't fit
~I really cannot thank everyone enough for being so patient with me while I wrote this.
