"Now that ain’t fair! I need a drink just like y'all do. I've been working as hard as anyone else," Jack said, crossing his arms like a petulant child. .........."Well, you ain’t stealing mine, Jack Twist." Ennis locked eyes with Jack, and was rewarded with a smile as wide as the ocean.
Wonderful Chapter with the slowly building intimacy between them. The hair touch was beautiful and Ennis caring enough to stop and buy Jack his beer was so sweet. Just like Canon Ennis, always wanting to do small things (kill an elk, ask for soup, tend the sheep) to please Jack. Hmmm, seems like Meli maybe knows where Ennis's true interest lies?

You know, I do worry about our young Ennis. I mean, how's he going to get his work done with such a wonderful view of the lakefront? What if the knife slips and he cuts something really vital to Jack's future happiness? That would not be good. So I think maybe Ennis should take up photography instead and go around and take pictures of the, err, waterfront all day.
Oh yes, I love Dirty Dancing. I have a feeling Meli does, too. So how about we get a little bumping and grinding going on in the next chapter to the tune of "Do You Love Me?". S'okay? Great chapter, toots. xx Em
