Happily ever after

I picked up the new DWM this morning ( Donna cover, durr!), and I'm at work (shhh!), so I've only skimmed through it, and among the extremely cute interviews with everyone who appeared in the finale, they've also printed the script for that cut scene from Journey's End...

here you go )

"...just what old skinnyboy needs, an equal! " Now THAT is an ending I could go for.

Sorry I'm not a Rose Dr shipper. I like Rose, but I think the current incarnation of the Dr has out grown her. So, I wasn't too sorry with the way things ended. Rose got a Dr who (no pun intended) could say I Love you and be with her the way she wanted. Dr ten, though he loves her doesn't love her the way she wants. He knows that, it is why he can't say I love you. He goes back to 'our' universe. And I would have loved to see him wiht DrDonna for a bit more.

I think he really loves her that way but he can't actually do it because she's human, she'll die and keep wating to have be with him in a way that he can't do. I think he feels like: What's the point in saying I love you if I can't give you the love I want?

For me it's not going to be canon because of this, Rose Tyler
(to the Doctor) But I didn't think, What about you? You gonna be all right?.

It seems like she made a decision but in the episode she didn't actually have the time to, she kissed him and the real Doctor was gone, and it couldn't happen before the kiss because she was accepting that earlier.

That's a really good point. I think what's on screen works better for me because Rose seems to be unprepared for the real Doctor leaving like that, as if she doesn't quite have time to protest.

Hm. Yeah I'm glad I'm getting a choice to make that canon or not. I'm choosing not.

Though it is quite funny to think that Jack is growing his TARDIS coral at Torchwood the long way. :D

I'm with you. I prefer the version without this scene. A great part of it is what pilihalliwell said.

Ugggh I wish this made me feel better about the ending but it does not. *grumbles*
