Holy shmuckmonkeys. I think I had an aneurysm. Thank god I found this when part two was already up or I would've ripped my hair out with that cliffhanger. I love your style. It's written in a manner where you didn't have to explain why he survived in order for me to accept it. I also love how Daniel refers to Walter in his head and the way he's like talking to himself in order to handle this situation. Plus that is one of the best cliffhanger sentences I've seen in a long time. Brilliant work.
*smiles* I really like this, and I'm glad there's already more posted so I don't have to wait around. :P AU, good, I've wanted to see some of those written since the ending of Watchmen doesn't exactly leave much room for furthering Dan and Rorschach's relationship. I really like these lines:
"Secure in the knowledge that although a psychopath had broken into his home in the night it had been his psychopath."

"A last ditch attempt at finding something worth living for, his mind’s way of saving him even as it propelled him deeper into his own private hell. This theory didn’t quite work though… Didn’t fit the timeline so to speak."
