Laura and I are at a Howard Johnson right now - it's pretty horrifying. When I was young I always was sad that my mom never let us stay at a Howard Johnson - but seriously - it's not that cool. Why didn't she just tell me that?

I told some of you last week that my brother scored a huge commercial. He did, they discussed payment and he was all set to film today and apparently, Apple has decided to cancel the commercial he was to appear in. Today I went to a doctor to have my extremely belated 6 month checkup (I broke my ankle in march, which puts the checkup in September - oops). They took some x-rays and the doctor came in and told me that everything was completely healed. My ankle, in his words, is "just like it was before." Ok, so I kept this a secret from almost everyone, mainly because I was fairly certain this project would either fail miserably, or I would abandon it. But neither happened, and I can now tell you that I have officially sewn my first garment. I made myself a jumper from a pattern for my halloween costume. I can't believe how well it turned out.
