I had the most amazing christmas of my life this year. My brother, sister and mom came to visit from their homes (NYC, NC, and DC, respectively) and spent about a week here. I had a christmas tree, and I made them do every christmas-related activity I could think of. Highlights ( Read more... )

Of course, thank you all for being so supportive. That first week was so fucking difficult. Things are still busy and hard, but god, he's doing so much better. I love him so much.

So our babysitter Chance, who took care of my brother and sister and I for 5 years or so when we were in grade/middle school, died on Monday. He was one of our closest friends, and my heart is broken. His kidneys failed a while ago, he was on dialysis for 2 years while waiting for a kidney.
