I heard a great talk on how pervasive Neitzche's ideas are in America today. Neitzche basically said three things:
1. God is dead, that is the idea of God is fading and people don't need Him anymore.
2. There is no right and wrong, beauty or ugliness, all is up the individual.
3. The Will to power, that is you must forcefully inflict yourself on society to be heard, to have the power to do anything.

What you have talked about here, has further illuminated this very subject. Nihilism has crept in almost everywhere in our society.
I think we Christians are in a good place, though it is a hard place, to redeem the times. It is the Christian mandate to do so. The lecturer on Neitzche said that Americans will halfway follow his ideals and still hold on a to a tailored "Christianlike" view of morality. Neitzche said that this should not be done and yet that's what we face as Christians. "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world- our faith" 1 Jn. 5:4
We win! Only hope in God.

if only the Christians would strengthen themselves instead of contributing to this morality free zone. it's really discouraging. no one wants to feel guilt so they rearrange the system. guilt could make them feel as if they had done something wrong. if someone declares something "not wrong", there is no guilt. no one wants the burden of realizing they are doing something wrong. no one wants to admit it. then they would either be living in sin or have to change. and rarely do people want to do that much work.
