Is it possible to join the NYPD if you are dyslexic? I ask this as I've met someone on here who is very nice. He has told me that he is in the NYPD. He is dyslexic. He wants to come to England for a holiday and I was thinking that he could stay with us. A friend of mine said that he couldn't be in the police force if he was dyslexic. Now I'm

Not sure. He COULD work in the offices in a support position. However, discrimination issues being what they are here in the States, it is more than likely.

Also, he may just not have told them and is able to cover it well. This is also a very American practice.
