It's a really really lovely/beautiful German movie (directed by Wim Wenders) about an angel who decides to assume a regular life. He does this because he falls in love with an acrobat. The movie's based on Rainer Maria Rilke's poetry... it's extraordinary. Definitely one of my favorites, and from it I (having never been to the circus myself!) gleaned an appreciation of acrobatics!!
And then I watched Freaks which made me love sideshows, again having never seen one.
You know, this week my life has been one long string of coincidences. Every time my interest is caught by something/something is mentioned somewhere that I intend to check out, it's immediately mentioned in at least a couple of other places. Rilke's poetry for example, is mentioned throughout The Time Traveller's Wife, which I'm reading now (very good book), and I mean to read some of it and then you mention it too. So now I have read some of it, and he is easily one of my favourite poets now. But other things too, like watching American Beauty and recognising a quote from it, and realising its from a Rise Against song that's pretty old but I only heard for the first time about a week ago, and wondered where the quoting at the start came from. And other things too, that I really can't remember right now.
I like it, it's just weird.
I have things to tell you. You may get an email later, I have a day off :-)

"Isabel" is proving an early favourite.
