#3-1 (two thousand and mine)

I don’t have many friends on Facebook, comparatively speaking. If I had to guess, which is all that it would be, a guess: I have the least amount of friends out of all the friends that I have. It isn’t like I’ve looked at all fifty of their profiles to see. Still, each one of the ones that I remember having looked at, as far as I remember, they ( Read more... )

I have maybe 60 people on facebook, and too many are college people I don't really care about. And the rest are high school. And aunts and uncles.

Well, that's the thing...out of my 50 people on Facebook, probably only about half of them are people I would even stop to say "hi" to if I were to see them somewhere out in public. The rest are hot chicks.

I used to get the hot chicks on myspace. Usually recently coming out of divorces and looking for a nice guy to treat them right and screw the memory of their ex away. Man, myspace. I miss it. Facebook only leads to coworkers and siblings of high school sweethearts and great aunts finding me and my pictures of seaworld.

It's sad how much I relate, minus Seaworld. However it is somewhat fun, at least it is for me, to post something completely inappropriate on somebody's wall...one where I know that someone like their grandmother is also going to see it.

Juvenile yeah, but it's at least a break from the monotony.

ithink like 75 percent of the people on my facebook (probably less friends than you) are people i've never met and have no intention of meeting. and people are really boring, even fascinating people are really boring when it comes down to it. i would delete, but i don't delete accounts anymore. my triumphant social networking comebacks were getting embarrassing :/

Yeah Alex, but sometimes I'd like to see just one more social networking comeback out of you.

Do me a favor and think about it. Maybe next time, it'll be the best one. :)

I never met hot chicks. Did I miss out on that part? How did I miss the hot chicks? I was single when I started on LJ. How did I miss the hot chicks?

Damn. I should have met the hot chicks.

Seriously, though... Yeah, Facebook will eventually be replaced. The unique thing about facebook, is that everyone and their MOM is on there. Yes, My Mom is there too. Which means it takes an anyomous thing like the internet, and makes it more like a public place where you actually have to watch what you say. It's weird.

I know, I try to watch what I say on yours because you practically have your entire family on there with the exception of your dad (I think). Which, that's fine, I can respect that. Especially since it's a tough thing to stay in contact with family, lots of times.

So in that way Facebook may have some staying power, there, due to that demographic adopting it. But since my family is almost pathologically afraid of computers...

i friended you on facebook. at least, i think it was you - couldn't see too much detail in the thumbnails i had to choose from. it was either the "semi-artistic close-up of moody guy dramatically smoking a cigarette" or "guy with shit-eating grin holding his girlfriend in a tropical locale."

guess which one i picked. we'll see if i got the right one.

Ha! Yeah. "Semi-artistic and moody" just about sums it up. You chose well.

Nah, the other Jason lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He's younger, kind of a rebel, kind of tortured, and not very friendly. I wanted to be his friend because I thought it would be funny if we could chat with each other through status updates, and confuse the hell out of our respective friends, but he wasn't receptive to my idea. Well, that's the polite way of putting it...
