i haven't paid for LJ in years. i have three icons, but my whole journal is up there.

I'm pretty certain that's correct. The journal entries remain, but all but three icons disappear if you revert to a free account. Then again, I bought a permanent account for $100 in 2002 and haven't paid much attention since that time.

I think unpaid has to put up with ads, but you shouldn't lose the history. And you can archive the history before your account runs out, if you're nervous.

I know it wasn't a call. But you and your writing really would be missed, and you seem like life's throwing you around the rollercoaster a bit, and I thought a little bit of sunshine might make your day.

Now, I just hope that LJ is kind enough to stack this one and the one from Bill on top of each other so that we've got you for two years instead of just sending one out into the ether...
