Kinda weird that I read so much meaning into/try to extract meaning from everything, when I actually also believe that everything is meaningless...

Had been agonizing over a blog post for the lab blog all day- spend far, far too much time on it- but was rewarded with an email from Andrew, saying it was "just excellent."

I hope it will inspire me to read more, so that I have interesting things to write about.

Things in my head have totally fallen apart. I keep pretending they're okay while everyone is looking, but I walk home by myself and shuffle nearly to a stop, because I don't care about lifting up my feet.

I can't decide if I think that a more-widespread belief in something like karma or a harsher and more immediate system of punishment would do more to reduce the number of crazies...though I also am not sure that such a thing is possible (i.e., the more people there are, the more there are at the tails of sanity) and acknowledge that there might be ( Read more... )
