I'm getting two vibes. For reasons already stated, I see Davy Jones.

Buuut...

You're not nearly as "Rawr, lookit me, I'm so evil" as he is. The other huge vibe I got was Captain Jack Sparrow. You have an eloquent way of talking, a sense of humor (more than I can say for Jones), and when you said "honest to a fault" it made me think of him. So... there you go!
