Darn you. I wasn't going to read this, because I'm trying to do other things. I was just going to bookmark it and come back later. But you sucked me in but good.

I love your Jack. He's so very himself.

I enjoyed the story. Nice to see a lighthearted story about Jack in which he's not suffering the torments of the damned. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)

I seem to be one of the few people who believes Jack, despite the fey manner fashionable for 18th century men, is heterosexual (based on the scene in which he signals Gibbs to get rid of the "lad" he thinks is in love with him without even first turning around to see if he's cute, or old enough) but I enjoyed this take on a bisexual Jack. Although the Barbossa part squicked me. I hate AWE Barbossa (liked CoTBP Barbossa) so ANY sex scene with him squicks me. ;)

"It's a sort of a bet," Jack says, because that seems easier to understand than that it's his own sort of personal victory over men who keep besting him in an annoying variety of other ways (if he's being honest for once.)

Oh, I do adore your Jack Sparrow - especially when he's being honest, and keeping score. This is wonderful, as always, and a new favorite from you. *tucks it away with Proper Pirates*

Thank you! I'm glad you like my Jack, even when he's being ... well, very Jack.

LOL. This reminds me of my own comment shortly after DMC:

"The trilogy is really about this: Jack Sparrow leaves a trail of broken hearts wherever he goes (Norrington, Beckett, Barbossa, Tia Dalma, the list goes on...). The third movie will focus on his learning how to break-up with someone in such a way that they do not want to kill him."

In my opinion, this story is pretty much canon. :)
