"No matter what happens to me, you must get off this Island after the moon rises. Promise me that you will."

"I promise." He'd never meant anything more in his life.

Yep, well at least he's trying to run.

What is it with French vampires? Yes, fine, Anne Rice's Lestat de Lioncourt is a very pretty French vampire, we like him very much, and he's very yummy and fun and has an interesting personality and all that. Can we be done, now, please?!

I mean, just because it works for one author doesn't mean it'll work for a Suethor. (Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is evidence of that.) And, plus, Lestat never had to tackle some ridiculous curse.

Concerning "The only way to kill a Vampire is if you drain their body completely of blood. Only another Vampire can do that.", the closest I've ever seen to that was in a webcomic named Arcana, and even then the vampire on the recieving end wasn't dead afterwards, just a mindless drone, and it seriously screwed up the head of the one who did it.

Actually, the draining the body completely of blood reminds me of Blood: the Last Vampire where the only way to kill the vampire was to release an enormous gout of blood in one blow.
...
I love Arcana. ^.^

Now, enter the Pirates. And enter a curse, and enter love, and you've got a story.

She has to clarify that, of course. "This is a story, y'all. A STORY! NO, REALLY, IT IS!"

Yes, but she forgot to mention it was a particularly bad one.
