So here we are at the beginning of YouJack week. I'll admit, I'm not that big a fan of second person in the first place. Generally, I find it awkward and just entirely unnecessary. It always strikes me as a gimmick perspective. That said, it takes a skilled writer to convince me otherwise. There aren't that many skilled writers at The Pit of Voles

I've never seen the movie Animal Farm, but I've read the book. And damn, this Suethor is very stupid.

And as for Godfather...
Well, as I dearly love the first two (can't stand the third), my only comment is to say that this author clearly didn't have the faintest idea what was going on. If you want movies with senseless killing, try something else. Because you won't find it in Godfather.

I didn't like the third either. Michael really annoyed me in that one. The second, with all those flashbacks to the 20's, was awesome.

I saw the Animal Farm movie with robotic animals, and I must admit it's a bit freaky. Animal Farm is a story that should be read, not seen. I feel that seeing actual animals distracts you from the real message.

Lord. I didn't know I was such an angsty freakin' drama queen. I mean, I'm traumatised by the mere memory of consensual sex, I'm panicked when a man I've known for ten minutes innocently talks to another woman, and I jump in the ocean miles from land and expect to "swim away." Either I'm the best long-distance swimmer ever or I have a severe deathwish.

This has to be a parody. It has to be. This cannot possibly be a real fic. There is no way on this earth that someone could be this stupid.

I think we need a rating of five really bad eggs now, if it didn't apply for that "Lizzeh" fic.

You could use "wounderful" as the fourth one, then bump "it's a parody? Right?" up one.

I refuse to believe that this is not a parody though. Or am I in denial?

You might just be in denial. I honestly don't think it is a parody.

As far as a new rating, it's weird that you should mention it because I was discussing just that a few days ago with my brother (spurred, of course, by the Lizzeh fic) when I realized how many very-much-deserved fours I give out.

Long ago I said that I would add a fifth rating for fic that was actually good if I ever came across any, which makes it really depressing that I'm now adding a fifth rating for fic that's even worse than I anticipated it could be.

I was just going to come up with a new name for Five Really Bad Eggs, but moving up "It's a parody? Right?" and utilizing "Wounderful" is a better idea, I think.

*still holding out hope that she will one day need a "This is actually kinda good" rating*

Ah, thank you. It was so in need of a higher suckiness rating. I also live in in hop of a good rating. Will we ever get there? We can but hope.

Second person perspective

I admit, I wrote a second person perspective fic recently. I took it on as a challenge to attempt a different perspective and make it actually believable and compelling. I don't know if I succeeded, but I can already say with certainty that it's better than this fic
