And what is it with multiple names and "Phoenix"? The second Sue I came across in PPCing was named Fatima, Sarah, and Phoenix (actually it was "Pheonix", but I'm assuming that's what she meant).

Uh, far be it for me to know anything about gypsy culture (in fact, my entire knowledge of it stems from that one scene in Disney's Robin Hood where they dress up as fortune-tellers), but were ear piercings not the norm for them? I could have sworn they were...

I thought so too, which just makes it stupider, really. That's why I thought she was projecting her issues. Especially since she talks about the tattoo and piercing parlor. Sounded to me like her parents wouldn't let her get pierced so she decided to take out her frustration about that in her fic.

Also, I love your icon like I have never loved another icon before.

and tattoo store? jesus christ. it's not even called that in the modern day. plus, you know there were so many piercing/tattoo parlors in.. what century is it?

Okay, so she gets the entire edge of both her ears pierced at once, that's probably like 14-20 cartilige piercings altogether, and she has to heal them all at the same time, in an era without antiseptics or even clean water. Her ears are going to literally rot and fall off.

Who exactly gave the Suethors the idea that there were Gypsies in the Caribbean, anyway?

Who knew that Jack says things like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!" and "Remind me not to piss you off."? Charming period dialogue, that. (And how exactly is he pronouncing all those exclamation marks? I keep picturing him just silently opening and shutting his mouth after he's finished yelling.)

I want to MST this, it looks really ripe for it.
