Oh, no, you're not stealing some other author's FIC. You're stealing part of a whole damn MOVIE, sister. And you need to DIE. Aughhhhhrhfghs. I used to love Little Mermaid sooo much so I say send it. That's pretty much blatant plagarism of that scene in little mermaid, save for the "original" character. She needs a smackdown, bee-yotch.
Memo to potcsues:araephJanuary 22 2004, 15:38:13 UTC
Agents Mara and Isaiah reporting here. The Mary Sue story in question has been apprehended and is now Red Pen File 1549419. The agents are enthusiastically preparing to PPC this fic. Akina and her sister score approximately a 192 on the PotC Litmus Test for the first three chapters. (A score of more than 30 usually qualifies the story as PPC-able.) The litmus test can be found on my LJ:
The story would have scored higher, if I hadn’t stopped adding on additional points for every line she stole.
Additional Department of Technical Errors charges: plagiarism, use of bad grammar, misspellings, tense shifting, screwing up ellipses, abuse of quotation marks and semicolon, malapropisms, giving Will a funky accent, and making Jack give Will ridiculous advice. (Find an oyster? What in the world...?) There are probably more, but that’s enough to go on for now

Oh. This made my day.
I'll be waiting with baited breath for the PPC to go live.
As far as suggestions for how to kill the Sue, I wouldn't mind seeing King Triton snap out of the spell she's obviously placed upon him and put that trident to good use. Though, from previous experience I believe that you Protectors of the Plot Continuum enjoy killing the Sues yourselves (who can blame you, I'd personally love to strangle this one with my own two hands) and I wouldn't want you to do anything that would rob you of that pleasure.
Thanks! *blushes*araephJanuary 24 2004, 04:50:11 UTC
The PPC stands for the Protectors of the Plot Continuum. PPC agents go into badfic, especially Mary Sue stories, and...um...deal appropriately with the offending original character. They will also exorcise Bad Slash demons and Sue-ish spirits from the personalities of the canon characters--the characters that were there in the original story on which the fan fiction is based. Along the way, they make strange jokes and crack down on missing punctuation and poor or absent grammar/spelling/literacy.
