LOVE the gratuitous use of Random Wounds (tm) to bring characters closer together. I mean, was there any point to this:

Alexandra was watching Will try out his newly finished sword. She wasn't paying attention to sharpening her sword, when her hand slipped and she sliced her palm. Alexandra hissed and squeezed her eyes shut.

...any point to this other than to let Will tenderly care for the poor abused Sue?

Oh, and to give the readers a certain degree of satisfaction in seeing her in pain.

Oh yeah, I remember. He hangs pirates, tries to uphold the law, defends Port Royal, loses the girl but realises it's for the best and is a good sport about it. What a complete ass-shat. *rolls eyes*

I'd ask you to find a Commodore Sue, but they're hard to find and detect, on account of proper spelling, good grasp of the English language...

Unfortunately, not many people can see Norrington in the shade of grey. Anyone's read Les Miserables? Just like Javert. He's a rigid follower of the law, but in his quest to arrest the protagonist [Jean Valjean], he's percieved as a bad guy.
