'Tis the season!

A good 80% of the time when somebody wants a recipe from me, it's this one. Actually, it belongs to my brother hyniof; I am apparently just the person who was successful at nagging him to give me a copy.

Yum. I may have to make this, since pumpkin is readily available (and in every freakin' dish on every menu) and bananas are too expensive for words.

A tablespoon of nutmeg? Is that correct?

Yup, it's a tablespoon of nutmeg. I think this calls for more nutmeg than any other recipe I routinely make, but it makes two big loaves (or two loaves that I would consider normal-size plus a half-dozen muffins, or one normal loaf plus a Bundt) so I guess that's why there's so much.

Good luck if you try it! :-)

Yay! I hope it works out for you!

I've copied down that pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting recipe you put up, and I plan to try it on Wednesday! :-)

The cream cheese frosting is my no-fail, fall-back frosting recipe. I use it on rich chocolate cake (it gives it a nice tang), and on carrot cake, too. It even works well on plain vanilla or yellow cakes.

Happy Baking!
