Of course it's private. Me and your partner are the only ones who get to see your name and address, and they will not be linked to your lj-name.
So your partner gets an email to write to a completely unknown person.

I've just submitted mine, but I realise that I didn't finish it - I'm fine with teacher/student as well, but I'm not so keen on femmeslash... And I'll write from snape as well. sorry for that! (next time, I CHECK before I send...)
